Owen Mathew!!!

The newest bundle of Browning is here!! Owen Mathew arrived on the 17th weighing in at 5 lbs. 9 oz. and 19.5” long. He’s healthy and they are all doing good:o)

Linzy Mabialy

In other baby news, our next door neighbor Ruc had a new baby about 2 weeks ago, and her name is Linzy Mabialy. Apparently my name strikes a chord in Spanish:o) I felt pretty honored!

Guildy-isms

Nothing like a little help with the mopping! Guildy insisted on standing on the mop and banging the lids together cymbal style, while shouting, “Loud, loud!” Nice to see that she has a solid grasp of the concept of loud!

Other current Guildy-isms:
1. Everything is "green." Although she knows her colors pretty well and usually gets the right answer on the second try, the first response is always an enthusiastic "Green!"

2. When she wants to come into the house, she says, "Knock on."

3. She eats like an animal. She has an outie belly button, and it sticks out even further when she's full. So when it sticks out, we know she's done:o)

Guildy and Bascilla

Last summer there were several pictures up on the blog of Bascilla when she was about six months old. Well, she’s a little over a year now and as cute as can be. She doesn’t walk yet, but she and Guildy like to read books together.

Tanner and Katie

We were so blessed to have our great friends Tanner and Katie come stay with us after Christmas. They actually got to Central America before we did and then met us in San Pedro Sula when we flew in. Katie is in nursing school, so she spent some time at the hospital helping and observing. Tanner helped Josh with some construction projects, and we tried to get out and show them some fun stuff.

We did some extreme strollering. We actually just wanted to take a little hike, but it had rained a bunch about a week earlier, and the trail was a little too rutted for even the toughest stroller. Guildy slept right through it all!

We went to Utila for a couple days. Despite the nauseating boat rides out and back, it was well worth it to see the most amazing snorkeling. I think Utila has to be about the most beautiful place on Earth…..outside of Montana!

The pickup was in need of some electrical work and had to be push started the whole time they were here. After a couple tries, they had the system down pretty well. Now every time Guildy sees this pickup, she trots up to it and pushes on the bumper and says, “Push, push!” as though trying to get the team motivated.

Our new next door neighbors were building a stove, so Tanner helped for awhile. Honduran stoves are amazing. They are made out of sticks and clay and they burn wood in them. Nothing too high-tech, but Honduran gals can turn out the most amazing meals and even cakes and cookies.

My Beautiful Friends

Mason and Guildy had a great time playing together. When we left for Honduras last May, Guildy wasn't walking, so they really didn't have much in common. Now they can run around and jabber at each other and they're just so darn cute!

Baby Adelyn was born in August, so we finally got to meet her in December. She's adorable and has quite the little personality. She's also relatively immobile, so, unlike Guildy, it's easy to get pictures of her.
