Guildy turned 6 last week, so we had a little party with Grandma Linda and Grandpa Doug. Guildy was actually pretty sick with a nasty flu/cold, but she was feeling a little better by the time her party rolled around.
Both Guildy and Hadley love ballerinas right now, so Guildy got a new leotard and Grandma Linda made a ballerina cake. Unfortunately, the frosting melted and the ballerina on top fainted on the way over to our house. Oh well, it tasted good:o)
No party at our house is complete without a little fishing in the pond out front.
Although not quite crawling, Talby can definitely make forward motion. She gets up on her hands and feet and forehead, then lets go with her hands and plows forward on her head. But then sometimes she gets tired and has to stop for a quite finger suck before moving on. I'm sure she's going to take off and start crawling normally soon, but in the mean time it's pretty funny.

Up the river a few miles from where we were swimming is a women's home run by a very devout Catholic lady. The ladies make quilts, pillows, bags, and such to support themselves, so Abby and I wanted to see their wares. However, to get to the houses, you have to ride across the river on the open gondola pictured below. Abby took a video of our trip across...check it out at the link below:
