Last week we ventured to Flagstaff, AZ via an 18 hour car ride for Josh's cousin Jeff's wedding. Most of Josh's mom's side of the family was there, and good times were had by all. While in Flagstaff, we went to the Museum of Northern Arizona....where the kids did their best to leave as many fingerprints as humanly possible.Doug, Linda, and Us outside the museum. Josh, Cooper, and cousin Brette at the rehearsal dinner. Josh's Aunt Beth is great collector of fun stuff. So, of course, she just happened to have a fur and sun glasses perfect for Guildy. She sported them the whole weekend and brough them home with her for future glamorous outings:o)Hadley and Great Grandpa Carl at the reception.Coops and Hadley having a snuggle.Josh's cousin Cassandra and her boyfriend Nate. While Josh and I were obliviously chatting with family and snapping photos as the reception, Guildy made her way to the dance floor and took part in all the reception festivities, including the chicken dance and her very own toast to the happy couple. I'm sure wedding guests are still recounting her speech and antics:o) Just prior to the flower girl's post-wedding melt down.
On the way home, we decided to stop for lunch at a little pullout with a good view, thinking it would be a relaxing break from driving. Guildy did fine, but Hadley proceeded to roll in, eat, throw, and sit in the beautiful, abundant red dirt. We were all filthy and worn out by the time lunch was over.
Guildy found some juniper berries, which she loves to collect. Note the grubby flower girl shoes:o)

The Flower Girl

Guildy thoroughly enjoyed being the flower girl at the wedding, and she provided her fair share of entertainment in the process. Josh's cousin Lauren is a beautician, so she used her magic stylist technology to make sure Guildy's locks could withstand a nuclear blast.
Aleecia, the beautiful bride, and Mikayla, the junior bridesmaid. Unfortunately the lighting in the church wasn't good enough for my geriatric camera, so I didn't get any good pictures of the groom. Trying to do a leg shot....but Guildy just showed off her blue undies. Apparently Mikayla was a professional flower girl in her younger days, performing in numerous weddings before finally graduating to junior bridesmaid status. She was able to help Guildy with all the confidence of an old pro:o)

Grand Falls of the Little Colorado

The day after the wedding, we went to Grand Falls, which is on the Little Colorad River. It's about 45 minutes from Flagstaff and only runs during spring runoff. We were there at the very beginning of the snow melt, so we hear it gets much bigger. It was pretty impressive as it was, and the locals said it is bigger than Niagra Falls....just alot more mud!

Terry and Carrie

The day after we got back from AZ, our good friends from the Seattle-ish area came through on a road trip. They made numerous trips to Honduras to work at the hospital when we were there, and they are going down for a two year stint in October. We had so much fun getting caught up with them!
We even took the Kessler's to Chico Hot Springs for a good soak, but since kids are way cuter in swim wear than adults, we'll just post this photo:o)

All Good!

We heard yesterday that Hadley's MRI was all normal, so that was great news! Of course they still don't know what causes her seizure, but we're content knowing that everything on the MRI was good. Praise God!!

Hadley's MRI

Hadley had her MRI this morning, and so far everything seems to be fine. The nurse said they didn' t find anything that they had to go back and take more images of, so that was a good sign. The full radiologist's report won't be ready for a few more days, but I just thought I'd give a short update of what we know. Thanks for thinking of us and praying for her!
