Update on Us

In just a little over a month, we’ll be arriving in Honduras! We will leave Montana the end of September and driving to California, where we’ll visit friends and family before flying out of San Francisco. Thankfully, we don’t have a huge amount of things to do before then. Having moved around more than average over the past few years, we don’t have much “stuff” to deal with, just all the little details necessary to make things run smoothly while we’re gone. We’ve got about 40% of our support raised so far, trusting God to bring the rest as needed. Please be praying for Honduras! See previous post.

The girls have had a very busy summer, so, by way of update, here are some pictures of some of their recent activities

We’ve had a cold summer, but on warm days, they got in plenty of “swimming” in their pool (or Rubbermaid tub, whichever happened to be available) and running through the sprinkler.
“Helping” in the kitchen is a perennial favorite. Finally a use for old dot-matrix printer paper!

The girls play dress up pretty much every day. It usually involves preparation for The Ball or a wedding.

Gotta love the wind in eastern Montana!

Hadley on the moto. She looks pretty pleased with herself, doesn’t she?

This pink leotard was a hand-me-down from Aunt Syd and Aunt Cade, and it gets worn almost every day. Fortunately, it’s good and stretchy so both girls can wear it. Below Guildy is pretending to be Snow White scrubbing the floor. You can’t see it very well, but she has the brush attachment from the vacuum for her scrub brush.

Hadley likes the pink leotard, too. She has some trouble pronouncing her L’s, so instead of “pink leotard,” it comes out “pink retard.” In spite of the political incorrectness of the word, I laugh everytime:o)
