The Per-petrified Forest
Just outside of Calistoga, CA is the Petrified Forest, which is a smattering of giant redwoods that were preserved when Mt. St. Helena erupted. Back in June, we made the quick trip from Middletown to see them, and it really was worth it. Grandma Linda's friend Robin and her grandson, Henry, joined us for the day. Guildy and Hadley had a great time climbing and jumping with Henry.Guildy called it the "Per-petrified" Forest, so we have stuck with that name:o)Me, 3 girls, and a really big petrified tree.
