Happenings in Our Yard

Half of my giant wooden kayak that served as a privacy wall on our porch got eaten by termites.  Josh chucked it out in the yard, and the kids had many boating adventures before it finally broke into such small pieces that they were no longer puddle-worthy. Fortunately, rainy season is over, so the need for puddle-worthy water craft is much less now.

Sitting in the shade smashing up flower petals with water to make "juice" - a favorite activity.

Guildy, Hadley, and Linda.

Talby loves to sit in the back seat with her sisters. Must make her feel grown up:o)

Sometimes after a nap, you have no choice but to ditch your diaper and pull your dress over your head!
Talby's favorite non- nutritive snack is Crayon-dy Bars. This one happened to be a blue jumbo crayon, pre-peeled for quick and easy consumption. Her next favorite thing to eat is erasers, followed closely by dog food and dirt. At almost 15 months, she is filling out a little and very tall. She has a few words, foremost of which is "No!" Others include "na," which is nose, "Aaa-eeee," which is Hadley,  and "ees," which is teeth. She also says Mom and Dad, and "Dad" is always said extra, extra loudly. Fun girls we have!!
